Announcing a new community video blog, demandmedia.net, based on a modified scoop 0.81. Users submit links to video they encounter around the web and the community selects those that it deems worthy.

| There's so much good independently produced video on the 'net, whether news, views, music, etc, but its so hard to find and the user interface is usually very bad. All of the large commercial video portals are terrible, basically 3rd rate implementations of cable with vapid, hypercommercialized content.
Hopefully, a collaboratively edited site will make it easy for people to find video that they like. So if you see a thought provoking video in your travels on the 'net submit it.
Plans for future features include, a javascript or smil based player that creates something approximating an interactive channel, a recommendation engine, and a RSS based syndication system. |
