Embellishing the User Info Page

Possibly the least interesting page in Scoop is the user info page; at the moment it is just a blank page with five links on it. To save visiting 5 different pages to find out about a user, I humbly suggest that it might be more useful if some summary info could be included on the page.

For example, what I see at the moment is:
- View comments posted by nicklott
- View nicklott's diary
- View stories posted by nicklott
- View comment ratings by nicklott
- View advertisements submitted by nicklott
To give you a quick impression of the user it might be better to do the following:
- View comments posted by nicklott (42 Posted / Avg Rating: 4.23)
- View nicklott's diary (12 entries / 1 Comment)
- View stories posted by nicklott (4 Submitted / 1 FP / 1 in Queue)
- View comment ratings by nicklott (12 Comments / Avg: 3.54)
- View advertisements submitted by nicklott (None Submitted)
The details of whether to display a user's rating etc can be argued over, but I think the principle is a good one. |
