Anyone run Scoop on OS X?

I am going to run Scoop on my iMac (of course I updated the Ram and disk space!) with OS X running. I read over at MacDevCenter.com (http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/11/05/apache_osx.html) that "...the dynamically loadable mod_perl is notoriously unstable." How goes it with Scoop?

I'm running Scoop fine on OSX 10.2 - in fact, I used it to develop my first "official" patch, a little tweak to add a "make main" checkbox to the poll editor so you can create a poll and make it main in one step (or edit one and make it not main).

You have to build Apache with mod_perl compiled statically.  I had a week of misery trying to track down segfaults with it built as a DSO.  Do not, do not, do not.

I use Fink and the stock Apple Perl 5.6.0, warts and all.  I believe I installed expat from source, and had to tell a few Perl modules where it was.  Post questions if you have them and I'll see what I can find in my build logs.  It's great to have Scoop running on my powerbook.
