Another scoop site is up and running! Watch as the evolution occurs from the scoop theme to POLIGEEKS! http://www.poligeeks.com

The site is/has been based on tech law. What laws, exactly, are you supposedly breaking by downloading mp3s? Did you know that a company owns the copyrights to the mp3 format and is trying to charge for use of the format? What exactly is the SCO saying about linux?

And lastly, which I hope will be the most unique part of PoliGeeks, is the "layman's" text of End User License Agreements. Converting that KaZaA EULA into text that anyone can understand, and see what it really means!

Note: Hosted by X-lan.org. They have been VERY helpful in the setup of the website, and very helpful even before I ordered hosting from them! Thanks!

Although.. they do need to update their website. (Hint Hint.. Xlan...)

I visited the site and found nothing, other than a generic scoop install, with a bit of a face lift.

Please don't waste my time.

For those interested in following the tactics of the RIAA, the Electronic Frontier Foundation has done a great job of explaining and advocating:
