Help! Help! Post Failed! Bugs
By on2raj , Section Help! []

I added the cabal Im box from teh scoop box exchange last night, and ever since then things have been acting wierd.

I had a little bit of trouble with editing groups and preferences last night, and now, every time I try to post a comment or reply I get a "Post Failed" message.

Did I lock out my database when I added the new table?

I'm sunk, here, can anybody offer a suggestion?

When you get the "Post Failed" message (none / 0) (#4)

Is there a more specific description of what went wrong when you look at your apache error logs?

This (posting a fresh comment to a story) returns "Post Failed"

This (replying to an existing comment) works fine.

This (posting a new story) works fine, here we see the preview, the submit, and a third post operation that I'm not too clear on the purpose of.

This is what happens when I try to get group info. (none / 0) (#7)
by on2raj on Sat Oct 02, 2004 at 08:04:36 AM PST

Again, thiss, in itself, doesn't look like an error to me, but it returns "Permission denied"

WTF? If I didn't have the edit_groups permission, I shouldn't even be able to SEE the groups tool.

im_box was broken. (none / 0) (#9)
by on2raj on Sat Oct 02, 2004 at 11:21:01 AM PST

The im_box, by Cory R. King on the SBE lacks a closing </form> tag, which busted my pages.
