Talk To Action Announcements

The birth of Talk To Action: I was helping to set up ePluribus Media (another scoop site), but sometimes people who start things aren't always best suited to run them or bring them to full fruition. Not in that case anyway. So I left, but I'd met Frederick Clarkson in the project, and Fred was going down to NYC to the CUNY Open Center for the world's first conference, a two day event, focusing solely on the "real agenda" of Dominionism and the Christian Right movement. "Fred," I ventured, "you know most of the hardest core of the hardcore researchers into the religious right, and the writers, on so on. You'll be there anyway. Ask them to all post in one place on the net. I'll deal with the software...oh, sure".......

Six months later, after grappling up the steeper part of the Scoop learning curve, Talk To Action was born - a site featuring by far the heaviest concentration of specialists on the Christian theocratic right movement anywhere on or off the net. This is not a trivial thing : these people, who represent the pool of deep knowledge on the theocratic movement, have been largely ignored and marginalized for decades and the result has been...... well, just look at it. Politicians have never so far - and still don't - consult this group of specialists. Big mistake. In any case, Talk To Action is your one-stop shop for the best info on the theocratic movement which you'll likely be fighting for much of the rest of your lives ( provided you're not in it ) - Bruce Wilson
